This free workshop aims to prepare participants to pass the IRS VITA certification tests by giving an overview of key non-resident alien tax concepts, calculations, and vocabulary. The VITA certification can be invaluable not only for the knowledge you’ll gain, but also for the legal protection it provides as you assist your students and scholars. You will learn how to answer basic tax questions, where to direct the more complicated cases, and how to best utilize the tax tools GLACIER and Sprintax. This workshop is for beginners and those needing a refresher course.
